Who runs it

The Convergence is built and run by a single person, working with AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude) for research, drafting, and site maintenance. That's stated plainly rather than hidden — you should know how content here gets made in order to weigh it fairly. Every fact, figure, and claim is sourced to a named outlet, and every source is linked directly so you can verify it yourself rather than take our word for it.

The actual editorial standard

A few concrete rules this site holds itself to, not just states:

Every claim gets a named source. If we can't find a credible source for a number, we don't publish the number.
Dates matter. Every article states when it was last updated, and stale figures get corrected, not left standing.
Corrections are public, not quiet. Our Archive keeps a dated, running log of what changed on this site and when — including the actual old figure being replaced. Nothing gets silently edited.
Speculative claims get called out as speculative. Bank forecasts, analyst projections, and "some sources say" claims are labeled as such, not presented as settled fact.
Health, legal, and financial content stays factual, not prescriptive. We link to primary sources (FDA, CDC, IRS, peer-reviewed journals) and describe what the research shows — we don't give personalized medical, legal, or financial advice, and we say so directly wherever it's relevant.

There is no advertising network on this site, no pop-ups, and no autoplay video — that's a deliberate choice, not an oversight.
